The SAME DC & NoVA Posts’ Small Business Conference brings together the State & Local and Federal agencies and businesses throughout the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area to network, discuss upcoming contracting opportunities, connect with potential teaming partners, and more!

  • Plenary and moderated sessions with government and private sector panelists
  • Exhibit Hall for companies to showcase their offerings and networking
  • Matchmaking sessions to connect and engage with government agencies, small and large businesses
  • Veteran & Career Transition Workshop

Agenda

The following schedule provides a timeline of the day’s events. There will be 10 minute breaks to allow time for networking and snacks between the plenary and main panel sessions. Participants can earn up to five (5) Professional Development Hours (PDH) after attending the conference sessions. Speakers and content subject to change.

7:00 am – Capital Turnaround Parking Lot Opens; Exhibit Hall Opens for Setup

8 :00 am – Conference registration/ticket desk and exhibit hall opens

9:00 am – Welcome & Introductions to SAME DC & NoVA Posts

9:15 am – Opening Plenary Session featuring Morning Keynote

10:00 am – Panel Session – Federal

11:30 am – Lunch / Networking

1:00 pm – Afternoon Keynote

2:00 pm – Panel Session – Federal, State & Local

3:00 pm – Panel Session – Buildings + Infrastructure

4:00 pm – Exhibit Hall & Conference Close followed by Happy Hour

4:30 pm – Happy Hour at The Brig DC

6:45 pm – Nationals vs Dodgers at Nationals Stadium (optional add-on ticket event)

MATCHMAKING CONCURRENT SESSIONS

Large Businesses must reserve their table no later than Monday, April 15.

SAME Matchmaking is your opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with government agencies and large businesses. These short 10-minute sessions allow each side to get to know each other through sharing upcoming opportunities, requirements and capabilities. Matchmaking is coordinated through registration sign up. If you are interested in matchmaking as a host (Government, Non-Profit, Academia, Large Business) or a Small Business participant, please indicate during check out.

HAPPY HOUR at THE BRIG DC

Please join us at the Brig DC next to the conference venue after the event. Indicate on the check out form if you are planning on attending so we can provide a headcount to the happy hour venue. Sponsorship of the Happy Hour is available, see details in Sponsorship section, below.

NATS vs DODGERS at NATIONAL STADIUM – 6:45 pm – Wed. April 24

Optional and separate ticket purchases are available to join the SAME DC & NoVA conference attendees at a reserved section for the 6:45 pm Nats vs. Dodgers baseball game at Nationals Park adjacent to the Navy Yard the evening of April 24.

VOLUNTEER AT THE CONFERENCE

There are several opportunities to volunteer at this conference for short sessions. Please sign up on the spreadsheet with your information. All volunteers must register as a ticket holder to attend the conference and volunteer. Volunteers will receive an extra drink ticket at the Happy Hour event after the conference and recognition at the event and Digital Program.

Individual Tickets

All-day conference tickets include admission to all conference sessions, networking and optional matchmaking, all-day coffee and water stations, snacks, lunch and happy hour event.

Regular priced tickets must be purchased via Eventbrite by 7:00 pm on Friday, April 19. All tickets purchased after the deadline will be charged the Late Registration Rate, payable online through Eventbrite, check, or Venmo the day of the event. No cash accepted.

For Member Firm Sizes, SAME recognizes the company business sizes based on the following employee counts:

  • Small Business: 100 employees or less
  • Medium Business: 101 – 2,000 employees
  • Large Business: 2,000+ employees

* SAME Members must enter their member number at registration. Login to SAME.ORG and click on “My Account” in the top navigation bar to retrieve your member number.

** SAME Young Professional Members are 39 years and younger and must have an active membership.

Industry Organization Member Pricing

SAME is offering special ticket rates to members of ACEC MW and CMAA NCC as a part of our industry partnership. Please reach out to your organization to learn more details and receive a special ticket code to register at the SAME Member rate.

Ticket Refund Policy

Refund and Transfer requests will be accepted through 7:00 pm ET on Friday, April 19, 2024, and must be received in writing to [email protected].

  • Refund Fee: Full refund, less administrative fee of $50
  • Transfer Fee: $25

Government registrations will receive full refunds at any time except for no-shows. No-shows from non-profit / academia / industry do not qualify for refunds.

Day-of-event transfers will not be accepted and attendee must pay Late Registration fee to attend the conference.
