Salesforce plans to open a meeting, events and interactive tech hub across a full floor in downtown D.C.
The customer relations tracking giant has inked a long-term lease at Carr Properties’ 1401 New York Ave. NW, the landlord announced this week.
Salesforce already has a D.C. office at 1801 K St. NW, which a spokesperson for the company said it will keep. It also has an office in McLean. The company has more than 2,000 employees across D.C. and surrounding Maryland and Virginia suburbs.
In its own release, Salesforce said the new location is part of a “broader, sustained investment across Salesforce’s public sector and government affairs organizations.” The company provides services to all 15 Cabinet agencies, 60 federal agencies, all 50 states and all branches of the U.S. military.
“This new space strengthens our presence in the capital, giving us a dedicated place to convene leaders across government and industry to deepen and forge new relationships, advance shared priorities, and invest in the D.C. community,” Salesforce Senior Vice President of Government and Global Public Affairs Wendy Anderson said in the release.
Construction on the new innovation center is slated to begin in late 2026 and is expected to open in early 2028.
