WOMEN Conference
“I am a Vital Voice”
The Entrepreneurial Development and Assistance Center (EDAC) is a small business center located on the campus of Morgan State University Graves School of Business. Its mission is connecting budding and existing entrepreneurs to resources for venture management and growth.
In 2006, EDAC launched W.O.M.E.N. (Women Owned and Managed Enterprise Network) Conference to meet the growing demand of women seeking small business services, knowledge, and access. Today, W.O.M.E.N. serves as a network of resources that support women in developing and retaining competitive enterprises.
W.O.M.E.N. Conference is a power-packed day of workshops and sessions designed to energize and invigorate budding and existing women business owners. W.O.M.E.N. is a source of inspiration and support that connects and empowers women around the District, Virginia and Maryland region, helping them to realize their potential and reach new heights. The conference features interactive workshops, networking, resource fair and awards ceremony. W.O.M.E.N. brings together the voices and insights of a diverse range of women leaders from the worlds of international business, health, beauty, government and technology.
This year W.O.M.E.N. will unveil its first cohort of The Power of 10, business planning in action. Participants will receive ongoing support to leverage the knowledge and expertise of EDAC’s resources to create a year long action plan for their business. The aim of Power of 10 is to continue building the ecosystem of women entrepreneurs.
