Montgomery County has a new podcast, “Black Coffee,” a platform created to uplift, inform and inspire the Black community by sharing real conversations, personal stories and valuable resources.

Hosted by Frederick Hawkins, African American community liaison and outreach manager with the County’s Office of Community Partnerships, “Black Coffee” will feature interviews with local leaders, residents, entrepreneurs, artists and changemakers.

The goal of “Black Coffee” is to create a one-stop shop where community members can stay connected, feel empowered and access resources that help them thrive.

From health and education to business and the arts, the podcast will cover a wide range of topics designed to reflect the richness and diversity of the Black experience in Montgomery County. Listeners will gain new insights and learn about services, programs and opportunities available from the County.

“This podcast is about elevating our voices, building community and making sure residents know they are seen and supported,” said Hawkins. “We are telling our stories, sharing our journeys and making sure no one is left behind.
