Procurement Workshop Focuses on Assisting Small, Minority, Women and Veteran Owned Businesses

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority and Women Business Affairs invite entrepreneurs and small businesses who want to learn more about contracting opportunities with government agencies to attend a free procurement workshop. The free workshop, Ready, Set, Grow will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Silver Spring Civic Building located at One Veterans Place.

In addition to learning about contracting opportunities with government agencies, participants will get an overview of how small, minority, women, and veteran procurement programs work, information on what buyers are looking for right now, and what is in the pipeline. There will also be open networking sessions and opportunities to connect with a variety of resource partners who can help small businesses thrive.
