General Dynamics Information Technology has secured a $120 million task order under the U.S. Air Force’s Next Generation Gateway program to deliver a zero trust cybersecurity solution across the service’s global enterprise.
Under the contract, GDIT will deploy its Everest Zero Trust Digital Accelerator to implement an integrated, data-centric security architecture supporting over one million users across 187 bases worldwide. The solution is designed to protect information at every classification level and will use artificial intelligence to strengthen threat detection and response.
The effort will help the Air Force meet the Department of Defense chief information officer’s zero trust mandate well ahead of the Sept. 30, 2027, deadline.
