Transportation Command will choose a single company to help stand up the system and base it on commercially-available supply chain software
Transportation Command is now ready for industry to start working on and submitting their bids for a potential 10-year, $1.6 billion to create a new cloud-based common platform for managing transportation and logistics operations.
TRANSCOM will select a single company to help stand up the Joint Transportation Management System, which the command envisions as being based on commercially-available supply chain software and supporting approximately 36,000 users.
Proposals are due by July 10 for this brand new requirement, TRANSCOM said in its Monday notice to release the final solicitation.
